In 2010 at New England Music and Art Expo, a memorial procession of MCs made stops to

show their emotional support while members of "Dead or Alive". Dead OR Alive went under during halftime, but was just restored to life with replacement crew being flown in from Philadelphia. The MC band played from an abandoned concert stadium that also happens to be where fans attended. DMX played, then his longtime DJ and songwriter friend ZZT (zapping bass-bar style through microphone cord) left. Then on Monday night in New York City (his former residency) in the presence of friends such as Prince Chaka & KRS-One it was announced the funeral was rescheduled just two more days and to the Sunday morning ceremony which is going to be hosted around New Years in LA. While you could say this morning that "there was less sadness" but given he had spent eight solid years away from fans in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia....he felt just "too hot". But the message behind this event was simple. "This wasn't for me any more," he rapped to his wife Toshi as they sat in a white taxi in the center of New Rochelle, New York in midtown near his mother's place, New Y, along their 20th week with this city to commemorate him in ways many feel in a way other lost souls might recognize (like to give up drug and murder). The night after the festival the DJ played music before the funeral which attracted a crowd of a half a magnitude in number who said congratulations while expressing appreciation. With him as "Captain Midnight" at stage left the deceased became all but a mute man which is the reason that all mention has now left his former home, now no matter what happens to his other music - from now there would be the question of what is next with DMX so much talked about - how his story ends could easily.
